A 25-year-old man was killed after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a van at about 1 p.m. on March 14. The accident took place at the intersection of Stan Schlueter Loop and Bunny Trail in Killeen. Police say that the motorcycle was going east on Stan Schlueter when the van turned on Bunny Trail in front of the motorcycle.
Authorities say that the motorcyclist could not avoid the van and collided with its right side. The rider was taken to R. Darnall Army Medical Center, where he died from his injuries. One person inside of the van was taken to Metroplex Hospital with minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation, and there was no information available as to whether the driver of the van will face any charges.
After fatal motor vehicle accidents, the family of the victims may pursue legal action against the party responsible for causing the crash.
